To support the development, evaluation, and comparison of delay-Doppler HRPE algorithms, we introduce the "Rhino" dataset. This dataset provides multiple bistatic channel frequency responses aqcuired in a controlled environment in the sub-6-GHz band, comprising the reflection signatures of two rotating spheres. Moreover, the available position information of the transmitter, receiver, and both spheres renders the data metrologically assessable and enables the computation of delay-Doppler ground truth for both spheres. Consequently, the "Rhino" dataset is intended to serve as a benchmark for the objective and reproducible evaluation of delay-Doppler HRPE algorithms. The "Rhino" dataset was recorded in the virtual road simulation and test area (VISTA) which is part of the Thüringer Innovationszentrum Mobilität (ThIMo). The "rhino/" directory comprises the relevant subdirectories. The subdirectory "Tx_0_to_Rx_0-350/" stores the bistatic frequency responses for several bistatic measurement angles and the transmitter and receiver positions for the corresponding angles. The two subdirectories "Sphere_1/" and "Sphere_2/" comprise position information of the two metallic spheres. In addition, we provide our own delay-Doppler estimation results for comparison in the "results/" subdirectory.
